Mocap-Studio - Recording an FBX

Use Mocap-Studio to record the movement of the people inside the scene.

Prerequisites

Make sure “Mocap Studio” is installed on a computer. Make sure this computer is connected to the same network as the system.

Open Mocap Studio and check for connectivity

Open Mocap Studio. In the upper right corner make sure the two indicators are green. This signals that “Mocap Studio” was able to find the management unit (CVS) as well as the Mocap System (CVS) in its local network.

Record the animation

Click on the “record” button in the bottom right to start the recording.

A second click will close the current recording session.

Rename the recording

You can rename the recording to a description that you see fit.

Export the animation

Click on the export button. Choose a folder. Choose the file format (i.e. FBX).

Click “Save” to complete the export.

Done

You can open the animation in a 3D program of your choice (i.e. Maya, Blender).
